Did you know that your thoughts actually have an Energy?
Your thoughts have an energy, a movement, an impetus - and a corresponding physical manifestation.
Science shows that negative thoughts produce stress hormones such as cortisol, these are naturally occuring Downers.
By comparison, positive thoughts create the release of happy chemicals such as Seratonin and Dopamine, these are naturally occuring Uppers.
Isn’t it amazing that your body can produce chemicals that affect the way you feel? And these chemical releases, can be triggered by our thoughts. And guess what! there is only one person in charge of your thoughts - and that is YOU!
Our brains can produce pretty random thoughts sometimes. And . . . one thought can lead to a myriad of other thoughts with no real consciousness or direction- the mind just takes off on it’s own little adventure. Sometimes these adventures are positive, but more often than not, these thought spirals have a negative nature and not healthy or beneficial to us.
What is really healthy, is if you can bring an AWARENESS to what you are thinking and ask yourself: is this positive?
If the answer if YES - your brain will be busy making ‘feel good’ chemicals? Conversely, if the thought you are having is negative, your brain will be busy releasing chemicals that won’t make you feel good at all, in fact they will make you feel bad. And of course these chemicals - they flood your whole body via the blood stream and effect your cells. Your cells, which also have an intelligence and a concsiousness, are little microcosms of your whole being. Ideally we want happy cells - who wouldn't?
"Happy cells are Healthy cells".
So, as often as you can, be aware, bring a conscious awareness to your thoughts. Observe them. Notice if they are positve or if they are negative. And a negative thought might not necessarily be about other people. Very often our brains are wired to have a negative or self-limiting view of ourselves. And these self limiting thoughts block us from showing our true self, and exploring our true nature and potential. These negative thoughts can stop us from experiencing parts of ourselves that we haven’t yet discovered.
So here are two tips:
- NOTICE YOUR THOUGHTS: are the thoughts you have about others, about yourself or about any part of your life positive? Or negative? And who is this benefitting?
- ACTIVELY PRODUCE POSITIVE THOUGHTS every day like:
- I am healthy and full of vibrant energy
- I attract good things into my life
- I am radiantly healthy and happy.
- I am experiencing more of myself everyday
- My relationships are positive
To conclude, we have the ability to
- To choose our thoughts
- To change recognised negative thoughts into positive ones
And why would we want to do this?
Because doing means your brain will start to release HAPPY, UPLIFTING chemicals that make you FEEL GOOD. You are being your own medicine : )
